At Pathfinder Engineers & Architects, we transform ideas into award-winning sustainable designs that work—with our focus on meeting your needs through design, quality, efficiency, cost control and schedule. The end result: client satisfaction.

Pathfinder, a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE), offers mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, energy engineering, architecture, commissioning, energy modeling and laser scanning to diverse clients in both the private and public sectors. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, our demonstrated ability has taken us from its founding to a staff of nearly 30 engineers, architects and designers. Along the way, we have excelled in meeting client demand for innovation, sustainable design, guidance and integrated service.

Our team of professionals is expert in special environments, industrial/manufacturing, office/commercial, municipal, healthcare, institutional and educational project planning and design. Capabilities range from upgrades and renovations to the design of new facilities. And, our project teams are as comfortable with design/build as they are with the traditional design/bid/build project delivery process.

Our goals are clear: provide sound workable designs that are environmentally sound, have the principals personally involved in the work and offer a broad range of design services. We have a history of success in sustainable design and the awards to back it up.

At Pathfinder, our commitment to sustainability is genuine and unwavering and has distinguished us since our founding. Our employees strive to be responsible stewards for the environment.

Key to our design is the integration of high performance into our projects. We continue to be at the forefront in transforming the way buildings are designed, balancing environmentally soundness with social and economic considerations.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. We have LEED Accredited professionals who each:

  • consider integrated, whole-building design practices
  • recognize the importance of environmental leadership
  • raise client awareness of green building benefits

The proof of our commitment is in the number of LEED Certified projects, including our own headquarters which achieved LEED Gold after a total building renovation. Like noted, sustainability is part of every project at Pathfinder, even our own.

Every so often, Pathfinder recognizes one member of our team for doing something special within our company and for our community.
