Hickey-Freeman Manufacturing Facility
Pathfinder provided an assessment of existing conditions at this facility and an evaluation of the capital cost of corrections and upgrades required to continue occupation of the building. Full-service design was provided based on the findings of the assessment.
The evaluation reviewed safety, viability of the facility’s mechanical systems, and the maintenance required of the existing building structure, envelope and grounds. Specific areas of concern included building code review, and evaluating and providing recommendations for the sprinkler, electrical distribution, HVAC, fire alarm, and plumbing systems; building envelope including roofing, windows and general structure; elevators, egress pathways and fire-doors; security fencing and parking surfaces; and preliminary review for asbestos. An energy audit was included, noting possibilities for potential savings and payback for lighting, temperature controls, and HVAC/humidity controls.
